Fine Art Storage is a division of the Security Self Storage group, EST. 1981. Reg Richardson and his staff have over 20 years experience in providing secure storage facilities in Sydney. The focus of Security Self Storage is currently that of specialising in fine art storage.

Works of art are sensitive to their surrounds and need to be stored in special conditions for preservation. At Fine Art Storage we ensure that your treasured items are both totally secure and remain in the best conditions for their preservation and longevity. Our staff are knowledgeable about fine art and the optimal storage of it; we take a personal interest in this niche industry and enjoy keeping up to date with the developing techniques in handling and storing fine art.

THE BEST ENVIRONMENT FOR FINE ART STORAGE
The artworks we hold are protected from harm through use of air conditioning and non-ultraviolet lighting in dust-free premises. The whole storage facility is protected with a back-to-base digital alarm system monitoring entry. The security system also includes movement sensitive detectors inside the facility itself as well as in the roof. A VESDA fire system has also been installed as a warning device used to prevent fires.

Fine Art Storage's clients include large corporations with substantial art collections, art galleries, private collectors and artists. All customers and the artworks they store are handled discreetly, and confidentiality is assured. In addition there is no onsite signage, nor is the address included in any advertising or promotional collateral.

CENTRALLY LOCATED IN SYDNEY
Fine Art Storage is conveniently and centrally located close to Sydney's CBD in a modern industrial estate. The premises are no more than a 10 minute drive from the city centre.

We offer short or long term storage, where you may store as many or as few artworks as you choose. Artworks can be easily accessed simply be making an appointment.

STORAGE TRACKING & CATALOGING SYSTEM
Fine Art Storage tracks each artwork using barcodes. The barcodes are scanned into locations in the warehouse and this information is transferred to a computer. The barcodes are linked to a database which stores information about the painting including the owner, artist, title and year. This system allows staff to know exactly where each painting is at any time.

In addition to barcoding, Fine Art Storage offers its customers a cataloguing service. Artworks are photographed using a digital camera. These photographs are collated with information about each work in a format agreed upon by the customer. An hourly rate is charged for this service.
